This isn’t news, but I ran across Gary Busey’s TomTom outtakes and I have to hand it to the people at TomTom, this is probably the best 12.95 anyone would ever spend on an “upgrade”.
It almost makes me want to buy a TomTom…
I mean, who doesn’t want to hear a crazy man tell you where to go? My only request would be that it randomize the route every once in a while and have it direct you in circles while Busey tells you that the only way to center your soul is to follow the path laid out before you or something crazy like that.

A simple question.
If we have to beg someone to register to vote and/or beg them to vote, should that person be voting in the first place?
If one is not motivated to vote in the first place, will they bother taking the time to research candidates and issues?
It seems to me that it becomes a case of, who has the most advertising dollars and who can show up on enough funny shows; a popularity contest if you will.
I know there’s nothing particularly earth-shattering about that observation, just thought I’d throw it out there.

Nothing like Fried Chicken and Waffles to cure that hangover… This was on the menu at Grand Lux Cafe at the Palazzo… Other than that, they had a really good Corned Beef Hash and Eggs as well as an excellent Eggs Benedict…

I just saw this at Amazon.com for $3.99 and thought it was a good deal, it would cost over $20 at iTunes. And the download is DRM free MP3 so you can play it on anything. Awesome!

As we all know, Starbucks is closing 600 stores, below is a list of stores reported to be closing in the Tampa Bay area by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. It appears a couple of those being closed have have neighboring stores within a mile or less so there shouldn’t be any major issues. There is one, however, which just opened only a few months ago at 6th Avenue and 6th Street S in Saint Petersburg, just across from Bayfront Medical Center. This kind of stinks because the Joffrey’s at Bayfront Medical Center/Plaza just doesn’t quite take it’s place.

Via Engadget and CNET:
Members of China’s armed police demonstrate a rapid deployment during an anti-terrorist drill held in Jinan, capital of east China’s Shandong Province July 2, 2008, roughly one month ahead of the Beijing Olympics.
Uhhh, okay… I guess that’s one way to do it, as long as there are no obstacles in your path, or your Segway doesn’t decide to reverse it’s course out of the blue.
