A simple question.
If we have to beg someone to register to vote and/or beg them to vote, should that person be voting in the first place?
If one is not motivated to vote in the first place, will they bother taking the time to research candidates and issues?
It seems to me that it becomes a case of, who has the most advertising dollars and who can show up on enough funny shows; a popularity contest if you will.
I know there’s nothing particularly earth-shattering about that observation, just thought I’d throw it …

In preparation for Friday’s iPhone 3G launch, a music video from the original iPhone launch. This is from GeekBrief.TV podcast GBTV #0387.
From GeekBrief.tv:
The release of the iPhone last year was one of the most fun days of my life. We waited in line for ten hours and bonded with the people waiting with us. We’re not expecting the same magic this year, but we still want to make it an unforgettable day.

A friend and I were talking yesterday about positive thinking and how to go about it. I’ve always thought of myself as a positive thinker, however upon further reflection I realized that I really don’t do it nearly as much as I should. It’s almost like deciding you’re going to lose weight, or stop smoking; you have to do it all the time and can’t stop, otherwise you’ll just fall back into your same routine.
So I’ve been doing some Google searches on the subject, because Google knows everything, right? Found …

Ann Althouse covered Katie’s CBS anchor debut yesterday. Interesting take, given that Ann is female and she doesn’t seem to like how the CBS Evening News has been transformed into something that looks like it was spawned from Lifetime, We, or Oxygen.
It’s so annoying to feel forced into it! She’s standing up and wearing a weird white jacket buttoned conspicuously at the waist as if to argue with those who said she’d been photoshopped into semi-svelteness. Now, she’s sitting down, but in kind of a half standing position in front …

From FoxNews via PunditGuy:
ABC is secretly planing, or I guess was secretly planning, a “fictionalized” mini-series based on the history of terrorism since the 1993 WTC bombing to the 9/11 disaster(s).
From the looks of it, the story is going to be about how stupid the government was: If only they’d listened to one man, all would have been right!
Does anyone want to see this?

www.iol.co.za has a story about an Anderson, Indiana man who had a heart attack a day after he completed his 3900km (2423 mile) ride across the US. Strange that the only outlet carrying this story is a news site in South Africa…

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates these damn things… Reminds me of a South Park episode that’s fairly similar but adds a Pairs Hilton twist.

The Bratz are now Baby Mommaz. Yes, the hooker-in-training dolls have children. Bratz are the main reason I do not keep a supply of bricks around the house, because everytime the commercials come on I wish to pitch something kiln-fired through the screen so hard it beans the toy exec who greenlighted these hootchie toys. The Baby Bratz are as bad as …
