Great quotes of Rock Road.

Cathy has some Great Quotes of Rock Road.

Rock RoadThere was one gal who was really quiet and sweet. She worked the least busy radio in the center, the Port St. Lucie Police Department. She hardly ever made a peep other than to offer craft or quilting or sponge painting advice. One day, I think Bill was on the Sheriff’s Dept. radio, I was on Ft. Pierce, and she was on PSL. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, she shrieked, “Blow it out your ass, Sabal!” to Officer Sabal. Me and Bill laughed so hard I thought we’d die, under our breath of course, because it’s kind of scary when a sweet, shy girl goes off. And we just kept looking at each other and whispering, “Blow it out your ass, Church!” and “Blow it out your ass, Ward!”

Ahhh, those were the days… $9/hr and all the horrible free coffee you could drink “Why change the coffee filter, just keep adding coffee to it.” :) When I read the post I was struggling to think of some funny quotes from there and by god I couldn’t remember a one of them. I do remember mocking the people I worked with constantly, but I’ve done that everywhere so that was nothing special. Of course, I was mocking with love so that’s okay, and I never did it behind anyone’s back. :)

I loved that fact the the grass on the side of the building was never mowed, which kind of made it look like an abandoned WWII bunker or something, classy. It was definitely an experience working there, one I wouldn’t change.

    Um.
You were making $9 an hour??!

    Because I was making $7.63.

Typical. Another example of the man keeping me down.

    :)

I think so, close to that. But I didn’t get benefits, remember? And I had worked there before you, and, blah blah blah. I used to have my old pay stubs (lame I know) but I just killed them this year so I can’t say for sure. :(
