Bring it on Dennis!
So Dennis has passed us by, but not after splashing us with a really large puddle… What a jerk…
In any case, let the Shore Acres Flood begin! At about 6:00AM the wife noticed we were getting water in the streets, high tide was at 6:36AM, so that should be good news… However, it’s 12:28PM right now and even though low tide was at 10:21AM the water continues to rise.
This is caused, most likely, by the winds from Dennis pushing water into the bay and subsequently up the storm drains into the streets. My back yard is bone dry (thanks to my wonderful geo-engineering, or just because there is no direct access to the streets back there…
Expecting some fun at 4:35PM with another high tide. Maybe Dennis will start to pull some of the water back by that time, but probably not.

Dennis is approximately 50 miles off of Pensacola, FL, with sustained winds of 140mph, moving NW at 18-20mph. Hurricane-force winds will be felt in approximately an hour from right now - 12p CST.
Destin, FL will catch a double portio…
